Concept Time

The third prototypes show two time-related aspects we’d like to incorporate in the final game. First is the plant cycle and second is a day/night cycle. The plant cycle help players with visual cues to show when plants are ready to harvest. Day/Night cycle is made with post-processing using global volume and includes a time/clock so players can keep track of in-game time.

 

Playtest results showed that players enjoyed the cycles and found them convenient and immersive. Players would like to see time skip as there character sleeping in bed and have a clock to show much time they have left until they have to finish their tasks.

 

Final project goals would be to create a farm sim game with immersive gameplay such as tasks and events, Interactive NPCs with friendship levels, 4 player character options, cooking mechanics, Functional inventory, Players able to decorate their farms, and Working farm equipment such as hoes and watering cans.
